St. Mark’s offers space for kids of all ages. Sunday School is held during the fall, winter, and spring. Sunday School is held during the 10 a.m. worship service. The children meet upstairs in the classrooms for lessons and then join their families in the church for Communion. In addition to Sunday School, we hold Vacation Bible School during the summer. We have a room furnished as a nursery and may be used for babies and small children.

Teens are offered opportunities like confirmation class and service in the church.

We also hold regular events for families to participate in with their kids and for parents to get to know one another as we grow alongside one another.

St. Mark’s Sunday School

Sunday School is on every Sunday morning at 10 a.m. For Sunday School, kids (K4-5th grade) will gather just before the 10 a.m. service to watch a Bible story and have time for some fun crafting before gathering back in the Sanctuary for communion. Fr. George Arceneaux will also lead a prayer service with the kids once a month during Sunday School.

You can find the Sunday School rooms on the second floor of the Parish Hall building. If you enter from the parking lot door, you can go straight up the stairs and turn left when you get to the top of the stairs. If you come to the front doors, an usher will be happy to direct you.

The nursery is also available for smaller children.

If you have any questions, please contact Fr. George.

Safe Church, Safe Communities is a national program that helps in the education and training for preventing and responding to child sexual abuse in everyday life and in ministry. All St. Mark’s clergy, staff, youth volunteers, and vestry members have participated in this program.
