The Christian life is a call to put hands and feet to our faith. We strive to be a community that lives out our faith by sharing our time, talents, and resources with people in need both inside and outside the church. St. Mark’s connects parishioners to service opportunities in the city year-round. Additionally, St. Mark’s hosts fundraisers to generate support for organizations in the Milwaukee area and throughout the world. In recent years, the St. Mark’s has contributed to the following organizations:

  • Eastside Senior Services
  • The Gathering
  • Common Ground of Southeast Wisconsin
  • Episcopal Relief and Development
  • Riverwest Food Pantry
  • Milwaukee Diaper Mission

The Gathering

LEARN MORE

In addition to generating funds for organizations that serve our neighbors in need, the people of St. Mark’s engage in numerous efforts to share Christ’s love with our neighbors and seek justice in the world. Our members volunteer as a group at The Gathering, an ecumenical ministry feeding hungry people in Milwaukee. Each week, we collect an offering of nonperishable food items for the Riverwest Food Pantry. Our parish participates as a member of Common Ground, a community organizing group dedicated to identifying pressing social problems facing our community and bringing about creative solutions.

Fall 2023

We have arranged a number of ways to work with our community partners this fall. Our community partners are Common Ground, Eastside Senior Services, The Gathering, Kinship Community Food Center, and Milwaukee Diaper Mission. We’ll be raising money for them by selling pumpkins, collecting items to donate, and volunteering with our partner organizations. We hope you will consider participating in at least one of them! Please sign up for as many slots as you’d like. Submit one form per person.

In addition to the volunteer opportunities, we’ll be collecting socks in October and coats in November. Stay tuned for details about that in your weekly newsletter.
