The Christian life is a call to put hands and feet to our faith. We strive to be a community that lives out our faith by sharing our time, talents, and resources with people in need both inside and outside the church. St. Mark’s connects parishioners to service opportunities in the city year-round. Additionally, St. Mark’s hosts fundraisers to generate support for organizations in the Milwaukee area and throughout the world. In recent years, the St. Mark’s has contributed to the following organizations:
- Eastside Senior Services
- The Gathering
- Common Ground of Southeast Wisconsin
- Episcopal Relief and Development
- Kinship Community Food Center
- Milwaukee Diaper Mission
In addition to generating funds for organizations that serve our neighbors in need, the people of St. Mark’s engage in numerous efforts to share Christ’s love with our neighbors and seek justice in the world. Our members volunteer as a group at The Gathering, an ecumenical ministry feeding hungry people in Milwaukee. Each week, we collect an offering of nonperishable food items for the Kinship Community Food Center. Our parish participates as a member of Common Ground, a community organizing group dedicated to identifying pressing social problems facing our community.
