Pentecost—the 50th day of the Easter season and the birthday of the Church—is the day on which we celebrate the Holy Spirit coming down from heaven as fire to empower the disciples for God’s work in the world.

Wear red Sunday to celebrate! Also, we’ve arranged a fire performer to show us what it might have been like to have the Holy Spirit among us—so come at 9:15 a.m. to watch Sarah Supernova perform near the steps to the Sanctuary before worship.

Also, during coffee hour, the 125th Anniversary Committee will launch its History Exhibition filled with archival materials, articles, and photos from 125 years of ministry at St. Mark’s.

It promises to be a marvelous Sunday morning. Join us!

Blessings,

Fr. Burch
