There’s a lot we do here to welcome people into our parish. Recently the Shepherds* had a reception at Deacon Michelle Mooney’s house to welcome newcomers and to get to know each other better.

Fr. Burch is holding three Episcopal 101 sessions to help people get to know the Episcopal Church and faith. Some who join in his class are new to the Episcopal Church and some were raised in the church. More that one person has opted to take the class more than once because they find it so helpful and informative!

Also, we have Instructed Eucharists periodically. We have informational notes inserted into the worship bulletin which are designed to provide a running commentary on the Eucharistic Service.

*Shepherds Ministry: The Shepherds are members of St. Mark’s who work to help people who are new to the St. Mark’s community become familiar with the life of the parish and help newcomers find ways to use their gifts for ministry. The Shepherds invite newcomers to share in conversation and provide information about ministries and programs at St. Mark’s.
