The Anglican tradition, of which The Episcopal Church is a part, teaches that prayer is that which forms Christian people. Borrowing from the Benedictine tradition of daily prayer and different times of the day, Episcopalians pray morning, noon, and night.

At St. Mark’s, our version of this tradition takes on a decidedly modern twist. A small group of dedicated people meets via Zoom each morning, Monday through Friday, to pray through a set of prayers that we call the Daily Office. We use the Book of Common Prayer, a New Zealand Prayer Book, as well as other prayers from around the Anglican Communion. You are welcome to join us each morning via the link at the church calendar. No experience is needed. You will not be asked to lead anything if you do not what to, and all the prayers will be provided through your screen.

Give it a try; you are welcome to come, to experience the ways that daily prayer forms us and draws us closer to God. Questions? Contact Fr. Burch.
