The Archives Committee collects and preserves documents and photos relating to the history of the church. They organize the material and make decisions about what to keep.

Art Gallery
St Mark’s is committed to promoting appreciation and support of the arts in Milwaukee, and hosts a series of exhibits featuring local artists each year. Typically, each exhibit opens with a Sunday afternoon reception.

Bible Study
During the school year, a group Bible study meets at St. Mark’s on Wednesdays from 4:00–5:00 p.m.

Breakfast Fellowship
Members and friends of the parish meet together on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at 8:15 a.m., at Café Hollander. They discuss topics of current events and support each other in their ministries within the church and the community.

Coffee Hour
The St. Mark’s community gathers for refreshments and conversation in the Guild Hall, located next the worship space. All guests are welcome to stay for Coffee Hour; it is a great opportunity to get to know others at St. Mark’s. Members take turns hosting Coffee Hour.

Community Garden
Every spring, St. Mark’s members prepare a portion of the green space on Hackett Avenue for a community garden. Members and neighbors of the church may rent plots to grow vegetables and flowers. Sign up early, as there is always a waiting list.

Garden Guild
The St. Mark’s Garden Guild meets weekly during the summer and early fall to tend the courtyard and gardens of St. Mark’s. Activities include planting, weeding, mulching and watering, all shared by a team of cheerful gardeners and accompanied by good food and conversation.

Men’s Fellowship Group
The Men’s Fellowship Group meets monthly for breakfast and also hosts an annual retreat, which usually involves worship, eating, fishing, and enjoying good company. Men’s Fellowship Group members share prayer concerns, and also help out with parish activities and work days. The group is open to all men in the St. Mark’s community. Friends and neighbors are also welcome to attend.

Prayer Team
Prayer Team members pray daily for the Presiding Bishop, Bishop, and Rector; those who are homebound, ill, in the hospital, having surgery, experiencing difficult life situations; and those who are facing death or who have died.

Quilting Circle
Quilting Circle provides a gathering space for creative people to come together to work on a variety of arts and crafts projects (mostly quilting) while sharing food and good conversation. The Quilting Circle also fashions quilts as gifts for children who are baptized at St. Mark’s. They meet on the third Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon in the Library.

Shepherds Ministry
The members of the Shepherding Team work to help people who are new to the St. Mark’s community become familiar with the life of the parish and help newcomers find ways to use their gifts for ministry. The Shepherds invite newcomers to share in conversation, and provide information about ministries and programs at St. Mark’s.

Theology Pub
On the second Tuesday of the month, Theology Pub gathers at Paddy’s Pub from 6–7:30 pm.m, to grab a drink, enjoy some food, and discuss religious and theological issues in an informal setting. Theology Pub is open to all, whether you are religious or not.

Women’s Book Group
The Women’s Book Group meets every six weeks for discussion and fellowship. Guests are always welcome. The group gathers in November or December to choose books for the following year. Click here for our current selections.
